Open Banking: In payments, open banking allows companies like us make payments from your bank account - meaning no cards required. We work under an EU regulation known as PSD2 that fosters competition and innovation while enhancing payment security.

1. Click the payment button from the business you're paying: When you're ready to complete your purchase, just click the payment button as usual.
2. Choose your bank: You’ll see a list of trusted banks—select yours, and you'll be safely redirected to your bank’s secure login page by Nello Pay.
3. Complete the payment securely: Simply log in and authorize the payment the same way you normally do with your bank, such as with a PIN or face recognition. Your payment will go directly from your bank to the business—safe and simple!

With no need to enter card details or account numbers, and no sharing of sensitive information, Nello Pay is secure and much safer than many other alternative payment methods. Our open banking platform uses your chosen bank’s security layer plus Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), meaning they’re able to make sure it’s you initiating the transaction.

Under PSD2, retailers never collect any security information for financial transactions. You never have to provide your bank details to anyone but the bank itself. Neonomics (creator of Nello Pay) is regulated by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) and  across the EU.

No fees for you! Only the business pays transaction fees, but we are still a much cheaper payment alternative for businesses than cards and most others. When you make a donation to charity through our demo, we do not take any fees.
