Making debt collection more sustainable

with open banking

Our collaboration

Kredinor, Norway's largest debt collection agency, has a mission to create healthy economic conditions with a focus on customer needs and customer-driven development. Their aim is to help customers regain financial health quickly and at a lower cost. To achieve this, they have introduced Neonomics Checkout, an open banking payment method that reduces friction and simplifies the payment process.

Neonomics Checkout, enables direct account-to-account (A2A) payments between the payer's bank account and the recipient’s via a secure, unified bank API. It streamlines payment flows by carrying over invoice details, eliminating the need for customers to fill them out manually. This is especially helpful when invoice identification numbers are long and complex. Automating this process reduces errors and saves time, frustration, and cost for everyone involved.

Another convenient feature of this payment method is the ability to choose from multiple accounts when making a payment. Customers can securely connect to accounts at multiple banks and get an aggregated overview of them to select the best one to pay from without leaving the Kredinor website. Kredinor recently integrated Neonomics Pay Date feature as well to provide customers with the convenience of picking a payment date that best suits their financial situation.

Through the combination of these features with near-instant settlement, Kredinor is able to provide an optimal customer experience and a more sustainable model of debt collection for all parties involved.

How it works

When a customer receives an invoice from Kredinor they are directed to Kredinor’s customer portal where they can log in using BankID, review the invoice and make the payment.

Choose payment method

The customer clicks on the Pay Now button and chooses to pay direct from their bank account.

Connect to your bank

They find and select their bank, and verify their identity using BankID or their bank’s authentication app.

Authorize and pay

They choose the account they want to use, and authorize the payment using BankID or their bank’s authentication app.

An easy payment solution that customers prefer

Friction-free

Fast settlement

Why A2A is a better way to pay

Low-cost

Debt is costly for both businesses and debtors, A2A payments provide a low-cost alternative to traditional payment methods at a fraction of the cost.

Transparent

Embedded meta-data and real-time payment status on both immediate and scheduled payments integration via webhook provide the information needed to process payments efficiently end-to-end.
Hear from the client

“We need partners like Neonomics, who can develop innovative solutions that deliver on our customer needs before they themselves know they need it.”
