We're delighted to announce that Jacob Zätterström has joined the Neonomics team as an International Business Development Director and Country Manager in Sweden, growing our existing footprint in one of our most important markets.

Jacob joins Neonomics with an impressive background in the technology space, having worked in senior commercial roles for IBM, Rimini Street and VMVare to name a few.

Speaking on his new role:

“Swedes are quite curious about new technologies and when it comes to the banking services industry, Sweden was an early adopter of online banking and paying digitally. Sweden has also been a hub for many successful FinTechs, so in general the appetite is strong for innovation and new services. Regarding open banking in Sweden, there is a rich ecosystem of vendors trying to innovate and create services that appeal to clients and consumers, and with our strong technology and platform, I strongly believe we have a really great opportunity to prosper.” - Jacob Zätterström.

Sweden is one of the most competitive open banking markets in Europe. The country is home to some of the industry's most established players, many that pre-date PSD2, and with rising adoption of open banking backed services across many different large and niche segments it is a market that is seeing opportunities for collaboration grow tremendously in the last year.

With Jacob on board we will grow our Stockholm based team across both commercial and technical areas to meet the opportunity for both collaboration and disruption in the market. To find out more reach out to Jacob directly here.
